🚀 Q1 2024 update
March 19, 2024
We are proud to announce our biggest Lynk update so far! Countless interviews, carefully worked-out prototypes and many hours of development have led to today: the launch of our first AI feature, a completely new design for processing documents, and our own support environment.
In a nutshell:
🤖 Lynk Q&A - with AI
🧠 A more intuitive design for the PDF annotator

🤖 1. Lynk Q&A - with AI
We see a lot of potential in applying artificial intelligence to managing contracts in Lynk. After almost a year of testing, we are finally putting our first beta version online: the Lynk Q&A module. Our Infobar (the panel that slides out on the right in the PDF annotator, Views and document storage) now has a tab where you can ask questions about your document right away. We are committed to continuous improvement and will actively monitor the user experience to further refine our model.
👨💻 2. More intuitive document processing
Processing PDFs has been completely rethought to be more intuitive, faster and clearer. Here are the highlights:
📦 2.1 Document types and missing labels
There is a completely new design for selecting document types and missing labels.
Setting the document type and then filling in the missing labels right away is now one flow.
After you select a document type, you immediately see in orange which labels you still need to process. After many requests from users, you can now also place a label right away by clicking it.
And… we are finally introducing keyboard shortcuts!
✍️ 2.2 Editing label values
Another much-requested feature: from now on, you can edit label values directly in the label itself.
Change label values directly on the label itself → menu (⋯), 'Edit label'
While editing, you can add a snippet or replace an existing one
Keyboard shortcuts
tabandenterto select label values and save them.
👀 2.3 Snippets
To make the info panel clearer, snippets are now not visible by default. Labels with a small dot at the top right indicate that there is a snippet for that label. Click the label to open the snippet right away, after which you can easily enlarge it or go to its location.
↕ 2.4 Sorting labels
Labels on a document can now be sorted in different ways. By default by last change, but creation date, alphabetical or based on the column order of one of your views are also options for sorting labels.
🔍 2.5 Search
Search has moved to the top bar. Use the down or up arrow on your keyboard to go straight to the location of the search result.
+ 2.6 From snippet to label or comment
Click and drag anywhere in a document to create a snippet. You can now create comments and labels entirely with your keyboard, using the tab and enter keys.
🏷️ 2.7 Labels & comments visible next to the document
Labels & comments are now shown right next to the document. Hover over them with your mouse to get a quick summary of the content. Click one to open your label or comment.
🛟 3. Support pages
Finally, we are also launching a support environment (which you are looking at now), in addition to the email and phone support you are already used to from us. We will keep updating and expanding this environment. In this first version, the following support pages are available:
🆕 3.1 This "What's new?" page
We are constantly working on improving the Lynk platform, based on your feedback, usage and insights. That's why we want to keep you better informed about our updates, and why we are launching this "What's new?" page. For each update, it shows what has changed and been added in Lynk. We also link to tutorials that explain how (new) features work. We will also mention which bugs have been fixed and when.
🔔 3.2 "Status" section
In the support environment, we will also keep track of when Lynk is under maintenance and possibly (less) available. We try to do proactive maintenance outside office hours as much as possible, but this can be changed in consultation.
🤔 3.3 "Tutorials" page
If you have been in touch with our support before, chances are you have received a custom-made instruction video. From now on, we will make a tutorial for every new user question and make it available to all our users.
🙋♂️ 3.4 "Frequently asked questions" page
Finally, we are launching our "Frequently asked questions" page. Here you find questions that are often asked about Lynk. These are questions about Lynk in general, and not necessarily about using the Lynk platform. For example, questions about privacy and security.
